Sports Business Daily, 11/28/06: The IOC Exec Board today in Kuwait approved the addition of ski cross for the 2010 Winter Olympics. Among the events turned down for inclusion in 2010 were women''s ski jumping, mixed doubles curling and team events in Alpine skiing, bobsled, skeleton and luge (IOC).

The IOC Exec Board today also agreed to "partially lift a freeze in payments" to the Int''l Amateur Boxing Association, releasing $300,000 of the frozen $1M to allow "national boxing federations to buy video systems for improving judging" (AP, 11/28).

Meanwhile, the leader of PyeongChang''s 2014 Winter Olympics bid said that the bid "has the full support" of North Korea and that the two sides have "reached agreement on a number of key points." However, one IOC Exec Board member said that he does not "believe the votes of his colleagues for a 2014 host city "won''t swing" on whether a unified team is promised" (AROUNDTHERINGS.com, 11/28).
