U.S. Olympic Committee, Ralph Lauren unveil Official Opening Ceremony Parade Uniform for 2012 U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Teams

7/10/2012

New York, N.Y. - Ralph Lauren Corporation (NYSE: RL) and the United States Olympic Committee today celebrated the fast approaching London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games with an unveiling of the official Team USA Opening Ceremony Parade Uniforms during a fashion segment on NBC's Today Show.

As an official outfitter of the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Teams, the company has designed Team USA's Official Opening and Closing Ceremony Parade Uniforms as well as a unique collection of village wear apparel and accessories which embodies the spirit of American athleticism and sportsmanship.

"It's a privilege to play a part in the London Games and to celebrate the achievements of these premier athletes as they represent our nation on the world's biggest stage," said David Lauren, Ralph Lauren's Executive Vice President of Advertising, Marketing and Corporate Communications.

Drawing on the spirit and history of the Olympic Games and a tradition of refined American style, Ralph Lauren's 2012 Team USA Opening Ceremony Uniforms feature classic silhouettes in a timeless palette of navy and white with pops of red. U.S. Olympians Heather Mitts (soccer) and Tim Morehouse (fencing) revealed the men's and women's Opening Ceremony parade uniforms on the Today Show Tuesday morning.

Mitts was dressed in the women's crisp white blouse with a fitted navy blazer that features the official U.S. Olympic Team patch and embroidered Big Pony logo at the chest and a chic cotton scarf with signature red, white and navy stripes, paired with a breezy knee-length cream skirt. Morehouse debuted the men's parade uniform, which is highlighted with a club-collar sport shirt made of luxe white cotton fitted with a red and navy necktie under a sharply tailored double-breasted blazer with peak lapels. The blazers feature the official U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Team patch and embroidered Big Pony logo at the chest and are paired with cuffed cream flat-front trousers.

These sporting, sophisticated looks for both men and women are finished with a piece that celebrates the Olympic spirit: a navy beret with red and white stripes and the official U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Team patch and embroidered Big Pony logo.

"Ralph Lauren truly understands the honor bestowed upon Team USA athletes who will represent all Americans at the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games," said USOC Chief Marketing Officer Lisa Baird. "We're very excited about the look Ralph Lauren has developed for Team USA to wear at the London 2012 Opening Ceremony and believe it will help set the tone for Team USA at the Games."

The Ralph Lauren 2012 Team USA Olympic Collection for men, women and children is available to purchase online at RalphLauren.com. The collection is also available in select Ralph Lauren retail stores, Team USA shops, select U.S. department stores and TeamUSAShop.com. As an extension of its partnership with Team USA, Ralph Lauren will launch the Ralph Lauren Rally, an interactive experience that allows fans to cheer on Team USA via Facebook or through a mobile site. The cheers, hosted on RalphLaurenRally.com , will be showcased to Team USA in London during team processing and throughout USA House. For each cheer submitted, Ralph Lauren Corporation will donate $1 (up to $25,000) to Team USA.
