  • Online Slovak conference SPORT (R)EVOLUTION offered its 650 participants wide range of various sport related topics


    After last year's debut of the largest sports conference in Slovakia - SPORT (R)EVOLUTION,
    the Slovak Olympic and Sports Committee (SOSC) organized its second year in online format
    due to current anti-pandemic measures. Even in the online format the conference attracted
    around 650 participants, reaching similar numbers to last year in terms of participation,
    when everyone came to Bratislava in person. This time, the center of the conference was
    the X-bionic sphere Slovak Olympic Team Training Center in Šamorín, where the vast
    majority of speakers were broadcasted from.

    The second year of the SPORT (R)EVOLUTION conference, held on 16th September 2020,
    offered a really diverse range of serious and lifestyle sports topics. The conference included
    13 discussions, one lecture and presented over 35 speakers. Among the key speakers from
    Slovakia were the IOC member Danka Barteková, SOSC President Anton Siekel or member of
    the FIBA Basketball Hall of Fame, coach Natália Hejková. Also four international speakers
    from abroad took part remotely, among them the IOC Head of NOC Games Services and
    Olympic Villages Toshio Tsurunaga, NHL player Brent Seabrook or certified NHLPA agent
    Gerry Johannson. 

    The conference program was held on two stages. On the so-called MAIN STAGE was
    gradually covering topics of New Challenges of the Olympic and Sports Movement,
    Marketing from Behind the Olympic Rings, New sports umbrella organization of Slovak Sport,
    State Funf for Benefit of Sport, Re-planning of the Olympic Games in Tokyo and Is it time for
    the Arbitration Court? TIPOS LIFESTYLE STAGE featured the topics of performance and
    personal well-being and various others, like Sport podcasts, MMA phenomenon, Behind the
    scene of NHL or Heroes of the Future.
