  • WADA to elect new head, adopt new code


    Fahey, a former Australian finance minister with no sports management experience, is the only candidate for the top post after former French sports minister Jean-Francois Lamour withdrew from the race, saying WADA was "ineffective".

    Fahey, who has yet to win support from European stakeholders who wanted Lamour, has admitted he faces a steep learning curve.

    "I look forward to working with all members of the public authorities, including the Europeans," Fahey told Olympics-dedicated Web site Around the Rings recently.
