    HOSPITALITY TENDER FOR 2010 AND 2014 WORLD CUPS

    FIFA issued an invitation to tender for the hospitality rights for the World Cups of 2010 and 2014. The tender is divided into two packages. Tender A covers the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, the 2009 Confederations Cup tournament and the 2011 Women's World Cup. Tender B consists of the 2014 World Cup and the 2013 Confederations Cup.
    Germany, Australia, Canada and Peru are bidding to host the Women's World Cup, while Brazil is likely to host the 2014 World Cup.

    The Cowichan 2008 North American Indigenous Games (Cowichan 2008 Games) is looking for an Artist (carver), of Salish ancestry, who has a demonstrated portfolio of full or large scale carvings (6 feet or larger), to design a 20-foot Spirit Pole which will then be carved by citizens of British Columbia at events in communities throughout the Province.

    The Cowichan 2008 North American Indigenous Games requires the provision of vehicles, equipment and drivers for the daily transport of approximately 5000 athletes and team officials for the period August 3 - 10, 2008, including the transportation of arriving and departing athletes and team officials at Vancouver, Victoria and Nanaimo Airports and Tsawwassen and Swartz Bay Ferry Terminals.

The purpose of these two spaces is to promote British Columbia's businesses, communities and programs for the purpose of business development, business investment, export trade, increased international profile, tourism and the attraction of economic immigrants.
