Capralos- Athens Olympics Troubleshooter
(ATR) - One of Athens most experienced hands involved with the 2004 Games will now oversee the day-to-day operations of the city of Athens during the Olympics.
Spyros Capralos, one of the members of the original bid committee and now the government's secretary general for the Olympics, was given the new powers by Prime Minister Costas Karamanlis.
In his role Capralos will work alongside a representative from the city and one from the organizing committee to resolve problems that may come up in the Olympic city.
The new duties for Capralos come just days before the next visit of Denis Oswald, the International Olympic Committee's Athens expert.
