Olympics Ceremony Secrets Emerge
(ATR) - Plans to flood the floor of the Olympic Stadium during the opening ceremony of the Athens Games is becoming one of the badly-kept secrets of the August 13 event.
An engineer working on the stadium's Olympic preparations confirms that water will be a feature for the ceremony, rumored to be one of the most-costly ever staged for the Olympic Games. He briefed reporters, including ATR Athens correspondent Anthony Stavrinos, during a stadium tour Friday.
So far none of the artistic details of the ceremony have been officially released, but the use of water has been mentioned in other reports from Athens.
