Paris, London, Madrid Host Torch
(ATR) - Three of the five candidate cities for 2012 host the Athens Olympic Torch Relay this weekend. Paris is first, followed by London and Madrid.
In Paris the relay will pass the birthplace of Olympics founder Pierre De Coubertin. London's relay leg begins at centre court of Wimbledon, while Madrid's mayor will accompany the Olympic flame on a metro ride from the airport for a celebration in the center of the city.
The 2012 cities are under special rules not to promote their bids at the torch relay stops, meaning no flags, banners or speeches mentioning the bids. North American candidate New York City hosted the relay last week, Moscow will greet the flame on July 3.
