(ATR) - While not 100 percent complete, the Olympic Tennis Center for the 2004 Games is playing host this week to dozens of up and coming players from around the world, the debut of the new complex.
The tennis complex is one of a number of bright spots for Athens organizers. Some of them are in the same Olympic Park in northern Athens where other worries -- the Olympic Stadium roof and the now-to-be roofless aquatic center - are dogging organizers.
Test events this week include rhythmic gymnastics, baseball, softball and handball, with a soccer match at the satellite venue in Patra, 200 km from Athens.
