(ATR) At least 50 babies have registered for the Childrenâ??s Promise promotion in London â?? where all babies born on 20-12 are eligible for invites to a possible London 2012 Olympics.
London 2012â??s Jackie Brock Doyle tells Around the Rings the final tally wonâ??t be known until January and will include births from across the United Kingdom on Monday.
Brock-Doyle notes the promotion was but one element of a series of variations on the 20-12 theme.
Royal Mail launched a frank with a special postmark for the bid and 50,000 stickers for the bid were distributed that day at key railways stations.
Brock-Doyle also says the London 2012 website received the second-biggest day of traffic since its launch last year.
