I’d love to know what the odds are for Chicago’s Olympic bid, now that President Obama is going to Copenhagen after all. The web site Around the Rings tracks who is leading.
Right now, they’ve got Rio up by a single point over Chicago. But that was posted the day before President Obama’s announcement. It will be interesting to see if those ratings shift now. Regardless, I imagine Chicago’s bid committee is still doing the Happy Dance (caps intended) that Obama’s coming. I’m guessing the collective sigh of relief from the bid committee is why we were so darn windy yesterday.
The British site More Than the Games is giving Chicago 8/11 odds to win the Olympics. That’s better than even money. And the site Oddschecker lets you know how all the bids are doing. Across the board, Chicago is the favorite. Madrid? 16/1.http://apps.wbez.org/blog/?p=6322
