The IOC President has an important year ahead with the Vancouver Olympics, the first Winter Games selected and executed under his presidency. But while a successful Vancouver Olympics seem to be in the cards, less certain is the outcome of his pet project, the inaugural Youth Olympic Games. Set for Singapore next August, Rogge has created the first new multi-sport event for the IOC since the Winter Games began in 1928. Rogge also will have a hand in TV negotiations for the U.S. Rogge, 67, has good support on the IOC, easily winning reelection to a final four-year term.
