    New Logo for Badminton

The Badminton World Federation is rebranding around the theme “modern, strong, efficient”.

BWF president Kang Young Joong launched a new corporate logo over the weekend at the 2012 Citroen BWF Thomas and Uber Cups Finals in Wuhan, China, where redesigned attire for technical officials was also unveiled.

"After working hard for the past five years and with an eye looking ahead to a more prosperous and stable future, we have launched the new strategic plan to give all of us a clear guide to all our stakeholders on the direction, mission and vision of badminton safely through the next Olympic cycle," Kang said in a statement.

"It is therefore timely to launch a new BWF brand identity that personifies the stability, ambition and synergy on BWF’s striving against higher goals – just like our athletes who have dedicated their lives to improve their skills and set higher goals for themselves."

FIFA's anti-corruption adviser Mark Pieth told media Tuesday that Moreno-Ocampo, chief prosecutor at the International Criminal Court in The Hague, Netherlands, is the top choice on a shortlist for the role.

With his ICC term ending in June, the 59-year-old Argentine appears a good fit for the position.

On Friday, FIFA Congress delegates voted on several reforms to clean-up world football's governing body following a string of bribery scandals over the past 18 months linked to the 2018/2022 World Cup bidding race and the FIFA presidential election.

They backed the creation of a new two-chamber ethics committee - one for investigation , the other for adjudication - and gave the Ex-Co the power to elect the chairmen at their June 29 meeting.

Moreno-Ocampo's nomination will be discussed at that meeting before both chairmen are announced. He is a former president of Transparency International's Latin American and Caribbean division. The organization played a part in launching FIFA's reform proposals last year.

Around 800 representatives from 75 member associations are meeting Monday through Saturday at Kangwonland Resort, located in the same province (Gangwon) that will stage the Games in less than six years.

The highlights of the week come Thursday when delegates visit future Olympic venues in PyeongChang’s nearby mountain cluster, then the FIS Council elects organizers of upcoming world championships.
