(ATR) A host of Olympians and members of the Hollywood elite will come together on Saturday night prior to the Golden Globe Awards to celebrate the upcoming Games.
The list of Olympians to attend the “Gold Meets Golden” Globes event includes Mary Lou Retton, Nadia Comaneci, Gabby Douglas, Nastia Liukin, Apolo Anton Ohno, Magic Johnson, and Sochi delegate and former women’s ice hockey player Caitlin Cahow, among many others.
They will be joined by celebrities such as actors Bradley Cooper, Mark Wahlberg, Sofia Vergara, Owen Wilson, and Hayden Panettiere.
Panettiere’s fiance is boxer Wladimir Klitschko, who competed in the 1996 Summer Games.
This is the second annual Games celebration prior to the Golden Globes. The awards will be handed out Sunday night in a ceremony broadcast on NBC.
The event will be sponsored by a number of U.S. Olympic Committee partners, including Coca-Cola, Procter & Gamble, and Hilton.
