The two will be speaking along with WADA president Craig Reedie, FIBA secretary general and IOC member Patrick Baumann, USOC executive board member Angela Ruggiero, FIS/AIOWF secretary general Sarah Lewis and more.

"Host City is a really good conference involving cities that want to host events. Anything that can be done to put sport and cities together at an early stage is a good idea and I look forward to this happening in Glasgow and Beijing," Reedie said in a statement.

Host City 2017 will take place at Glasgow's Technology and Innovation Center in Scotland from Nov. 28-29.

The conference will focus on how cities and organizers can work together to bid and host sustainable events. Events can range from sports championships to business expos and more.

Host City will also host its first Asia conference on Oct. 18 in Beijing.

Both conferences will give the International Olympic Committee the opportunity to sit down with and better understand future host cities as the bidding process for the Winter Games undergoes revisions.

Sustainable Games Focus at 2017 IF Forum

    (SportAccord)
The SportAccord IF Forum will once again bring all International Federations to the Olympic Capital for its 11th year.

"International Federation Impact - Leading the way towards a Sustainable Agenda" is the theme of this year’s meeting.

GAISF (Global Association of International Sports Federations) and SportAccord Convention president Patrick Baumann will lead the three-day Forum with an opening address.

"Because sport touches the lives of millions around the world we can all help lead the way in promoting the sustainability agenda. But it is important not just to talk about it but to take action and demonstrate our commitment by building sustainability into our events and activities," Baumann said in a statement.

"The IF Forum will not just inform and inspire delegates but equip them with ideas and practical initiatives to do this."

The meeting program will incorporate sessions and workshops that focus on topics including infrastructure and natural sites, sourcing and resource management, climate, mobility and workforce.

The Forum will take place from Nov. 8 -10. Click here for more information
