Christophe Dubi, left, and DeKepper, right, are the IOC's troubleshooters (ATR)
Christophe DeKepper is the director general of the IOC, the ultimate gatekeeper for the IOC President.
Christophe Dubi is the Executive Director of the Olympic Games, overseeing all aspects of preparation for the Summer and Winter Olympics and the Youth Olympic Games.
They share number 15 in the 2018 edition of the Around the Rings
Golden 25. Published since 1997, the Golden 25 is an annual review of people, events and issues expected to influence the Olympic Movement in the year ahead.
DeKepper, a Belgian lawyer who is in his second decade at the IOC, advises President Thomas Bach on matters controversial and confidential as well as routine.
He is the pilot for the IOC Sessions, conducting votes and helping organize the agenda, for Executive Board meetings as well.
Dubi is another veteran of the IOC, now in his third decade in Lausanne. His remit in 2018 includes the smooth staging of the Winter Olympics and the Youth Olympic Games.
In Tokyo, Dubi is watching the numbers, working with the Japanese organizers to keep costs down.
For the long term, Dubi hopes to recast both Summer and Winter Olympics in a manner that lowers costs and complexity.
