(ATR) The head of the Buenos Aires Youth Olympic Games says he is expecting big crowds for this final weekend.
Gerardo Werthein joins Around the Rings Editor Ed Hula to talk about the YOG which opened October 6 and come to an end October 18.
He says there have been no difficulties managing the event, the biggest multisport event under the Olympic flag ever held in the Argentinian capital. More than 4000 athletes in the 28 sports on the Olympic program are competing. All 206 National Olympic Committees are taking part, the first time that’s happened in any Olympic Games.
Werthein talks about the crowds, the logistics and the legacy for Buenos Aires from this third edition of the Youth Olympic Games. The conversation was recorded in Buenos Aires on October 11.
