(ATR Japan) The Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games Organizing Committee has opened the voting to select the names for the Olympic Games' volunteers and Tokyo city volunteers.

Only applicants of the two programs are eligible to cast a ballot. There are four choices available. First, "Shining Blue" (games) and "Shining Blue Tokyo" (city). The second is "Games Force" (games) and "City Force" (city). The third is "Games Anchor" (games) and "City Anchor" (city). The last is "Field Cast" (games) and "City Cast" (city).
Junichi Kawai of Pararinpian, who was on the nomination selection committee, says "The volunteer gives the impression of the Olympic Games, the success of the Games is determined by the volunteer."
Sydney Olympic athlete Tomoko Hagiwara said, "At the Sydney Games volunteer women said "We are players". She supported me with all my strength and was very encouraging."
The selection committee narrowed down 149 proposals to four plans in a process that included trademark investigation and confirmation of the IOC. Voting is open until January 20, with the chosen names expected to be announced at the end of January.
