LAKE PLACID, N.Y. – USA Luge and Bucket List Events has jointly announced that the Olympic organization and its longtime hospitality partner will continue working together through the end of 2022 including the Winter Games in Beijing. The relationship started in 2008.
Bucket List Events is the Official Travel Agency of USA Luge. The company has helped USA Luge families and fans travel to World Championship and World Cup luge events as well as the Winter Games in Vancouver, Sochi, PyeongChang and the upcoming Games in China.
"We are honored to extend our relationship with USA Luge,” said Bucket List Events CEO Brian Peters. “Bucket List Events has always been about the friends and family of the program. We strive to provide a service that will promote the sport and spread the passion displayed by the incredible athletes and staff at USA Luge. After another banner year for the team, we are focused on contributing to future success on and off the track."
The two partners collaborated recently on a giveaway for two to the 2019 World Championships in Winterberg, Germany, and saw Emily Sweeney win a bronze medal. Other such contests will feature a return trip to Sochi for the 2020 World Championships, the 2021 World Championships in Calgary, and the 2022 Beijing Winter Games.
As part of the continuing relationship, Bucket List will be designated the Official Travel Agency of USA Luge; retain use of the USA Luge logo and marks in its promotional materials; have access to the team’s library of photos and videos; will receive a quantity of VIP and general admission tickets to all international luge events in the United States; will have the ability to produce co-branded apparel; and may attend the annual USA Luge Executive Summit, which is a meeting of key decision-makers in the team’s family of sponsors and suppliers.
“It’s important for USA Luge to have a reliable partner that helps our supporters travel to and from events comfortably and in an organized manner,” said Gordy Sheer, USA Luge Director of Marketing and Sponsorships and an Olympic silver medalist. “Bucket List Events not only removes that duty from our staff, but always gives us confidence that our fans will receive gold medal service.”
Bucket List Events, based in Austin, Texas, provides complete travel, tour and hospitality packages to the world’s premiere sporting and cultural events such as the Summer Games in Tokyo, the Masters, Oktoberfest in Munich, the soccer World Cup and many others.
Through this sponsorship, USA Luge members are eligible for discounted rates on all Bucket List Events packages, including exclusive USA Luge branded tour packages to the 2022 Winter Games in Beijing, China as well as international luge events leading up to 2022.
