    New Sega Games

    After skipping the Winter Olympics in 2018, Sega’s staple characters Mario and Sonic are back for the Tokyo 2020 Games, according to Nintendo Life.

    Sega announces new games based on the Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020

    Sega has released the names and dates of release of the titles here.
    Kotaku reports that Sega will also develop official Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 for other gaming system platforms.

    London 2012 Athletes Sanctioned by IOC

    The International Olympic Committee has issued anti-doping sanctions against three athletes who competed in London 2012 in weightlifting.

    All three were disqualified.

    Among the three athletes sanctioned is Olympic bronze medalist Valentin Hristov from Azerbaijan. ESPN reports that Hristov is currently serving an eight year ban until December 2023 for also testing positive at the 2015 world championships in Houston.

    The other athletes sanctioned are female lifter Alena Matoshkam and male runner Anis Ananenka both of Belarus.

    Tokyo 2020 Tickets

    According to TeamUSA, tickets for Tokyo 2020 will be released soon. The exact date has yet to be announced. CoSport continues as the official hospitality provider for the United States Olympic Committee. Further information regarding ticket sales is available on cosport.com.
