(ATR) The IOC commission watching preparations for the 2020 Olympics opens one of its final visits to Tokyo.
The 17-member panel arrives as the first wave of ticket sales is underway and preparations for dozens of test events in this final year to the Games.
John Coates, chair of the IOC commission says his team will be paying close attention to planning for relief from the heat during the July to August timing for Tokyo 2020. He indicates that traffic is another pressure point, with a target to reduce background traffic by as much as 15 percent.
