TOKYO, 15 Sep - The Rugby World Cup's Media Zone is now live, providing accredited media with an abundance of information to help them cover the tournament.
A dedicated Rugby News Service, provided for the fifth consecutive tournament by Gracenote, will be staffed by 75 professionals and some 20-plus volunteers, operating at all venues as well as a central editorial hub in Tokyo.
This experienced team will provide a range of items in four languages (English, French, Spanish, Japanese) including:
Media conference highlights
Statistical lists and analyses
Facts and figures about players and teams
Quotes of the day
A calendar of events
All information is copyright free for all media to use in their reporting of the ninth edition of the global event.
Selected parts of the content will also be delivered to the various social media platforms supporting the Rugby World Cup, including Rugby World Cup Daily.
As a service to our readers, Around the Rings will provide verbatim texts of selected press releases issued by Olympic-related organizations, federations, businesses and sponsors.
These press releases appear as sent to Around the Rings and are not edited for spelling, grammar or punctuation.
