(ATR) SportAccord and CNN are teaming up.

CNN will be the Top Media Partner for both SportAccord World Sport & Business Summit 2020 in Beijing, and the inaugural Regional SportAccord Pan America 2019 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

SportAccord 2020 will take place at the China National Convention Center from April 19-24. The annual World Sport & Business Summit is the only global sports business event attended by all the international sport federations and their stakeholders, who host their Annual General Assemblies during SportAccord.

The inaugural Regional SportAccord Pan America 2019, which runs from Dec. 10-12, will be held at the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center. It will be the first networking and conference event to bring the Pan American, and the Olympic and non-Olympic communities together in one location.

“SportAccord is delighted to announce CNN as Top Media Partner for our forthcoming events. The involvement of the world’s most recognised news organisation is very encouraging for SportAccord, and a further signal of the importance of our new Pan-American event for sport across the region,” Nis Hatt, Managing Director, SportAccord, said in a statement.

“CNN’s standing and reach in the Americas and beyond is unparalleled and will enable us to further engage with key decision-makers inside and outside of sport.”

The International Tennis Federation and Kosmos Tennis on Friday announced a sponsorship agreement with Bank J. Safra Sarasin.

The global Swiss-based bank with headquarters in Basel will become an Official Partner and the Official Private Bank of the 2019 Davis Cup by Rakuten Madrid Finals as well as the 2020 Davis Cup by Rakuten Qualifiers.

With previous experience in other top-level tennis competitions, Bank J. Safra Sarasin joins the list of international sponsors of the Davis Cup by Rakuten Finals, which will be held at Madrid’s Caja Mágica from Nov. 18-24. The ITF adds that the company’s support for the 2020 Qualifiers “reflects the importance and visibility of this new stage of the competition”.

“We very much look forward to the collaboration with Kosmos Tennis and the International Tennis Federation to enable and present the new format of the Davis Cup,” said Jacob J. Safra, Chairman of J. Safra Holdings International and Vice Chairman of J. Safra Sarasin Group, in a statement.

For the first time, a week-long Davis Cup finals, consisting of 18 teams, will replace the longstanding format of four weekends of home and away Davis Cup ties held throughout the year.
