In this October and November, the Brazilian Olympic Committee (COB) joined the international breast and prostate cancer prevention campaigns.
Both the entity's headquarters and the Team Brasil Training Center in Rio de Janeiro had their facades illuminated in pink and blue, in reference to international awareness movements.
The 140 COB staff, including 53% women, also had educational lectures with medical specialists on the subject and collected blood.
“The Brazilian sports community is united and engaged in this important awareness campaign for the prevention and fight against breast and prostate cancer. We see sport as an important development agent in health, well-being, quality of life and education, ”said Paulo Wanderley Teixeira, COB president.
